Welcome to the Art and Design Department.

Students and parents are encouraged to keep up to date with the blog. It gives you all the latest news, assessments, exam dates and of course lots of photographs of ongoing work. For up to the minute info - please also follow us on twitter (check out the twitter feed near the bottom of this page).

YEAR 11, 12 AND 13 - LAST MINUTE CHECKS

Well done you lot - we finally made it and the exam days will shortly be here. Over the Easter holiday you can do a check list to make sure that everything is in place.
Remember, marks are awarded for:
  • Studies from direct observation
  • Artist connections
  • Planning
  • Final piece.

If anything is missing get it done! All these sections carry loads of marks.

The Art Department will be open on Wednesday, April 15th (the 2nd Wednesday during the holiday) between 9.00 am and 12.00 am just in case you need to come in and make final preparations.

Have you drawn out your final piece? Do you need to prepare the background?

Our A-level students are reminded to mount all their work ready for the final assessment. Good luck with this - I am sure you will make an excellent job. Remember to include some of your photographs as part of planning. Crop your written work into smaller, paragraph size, sections.
