I am really really over the moon with how my group have started the exam project. They have listened to the instructions about what they needed to bring with them and they discussed their (excellent) ideas.
The first day of the exam project is always a worrying one for the Art staff. Will the students bring resources? Will they be organised with photographs and materials? Will they have decided what starting point they are going to work from?....The answer....YES! Every single student has started their first observational drawing using their own resource materials. Superstars! The atmosphere was brilliant in today's lesson. Usually when a camera is pointed at them, most students forget what they are meant to be doing and start acting like they are on Big Brother! This lot....they barely raised their heads, they were so engrossed in their work (look at the photos for proof!)
Well done Year 11, you have impressed me more than ever, now build on this, make sure your coursework is complete and continue to be ambitious and thoughtful as you work on your exam prep.
(Sorry...couldn't resist...Starting Point sheet is due in Weds 11th Feb!)
